Peter Cerra and Shannon Bateman. Proud founders of River Otter Kayak Adventures Ltd.! Peter was born and raised in Edmonton, AB and Shannon was born in New Brunswick and raised in the East Coast as well as in Alberta. We have both always been drawn to the water whether it was paddling in rivers, oceans or on serene lakes, fishing, houseboating, or watersports. Being near the water has always felt like home to us. Starting our business was a natural extension of our love for the outdoors and the desire to share that passion with others. We wanted to create a business that makes it easy for locals and visitors alike to experience the peace, excitement and adventure that kayaking offers.

When we are not helping our customers plan their kayak adventures, you’ll find us out paddling with family or simply enjoying the natural beauty that inspired us to start this journey.
